Library News - Sea Shanty Singer Ben Traverse Returns, Library Title Feature, and a Summer Reading Program Update. 

Join us Monday, August 3 at 6:00 p.m. for a Sea Shanty Singalong with Great Lakes shanty singer Ben Traverse! No experience? No problem! Don’t want to sing? Come sit back, relax, and enjoy the music. This event is open to all ages, and no registration is required.

Summer Reading Program- What a wonderful summer we’ve had in the library! 65 adults attended our adult programming this summer, with the Sea Shanty Sing-along still to happen on Monday, August 3rd. Well over 200 children have been in attendance for our Dinosaur inspired fun. 26 different young readers have acquired 127 entries into our prize drawing by turning in their Reading Log/Bookmarks.

We have 16 local entries into MiLibrary Quest, the statewide teen program. 21 people have taken advantage of our Dino Photo-op and 17 kids, as well as 8 adults, have added to our Community Coloring Page. We don’t have the numbers on our children's outreach yet, as those events are still ongoing but all in all, it’s been an exciting time for the library!
